Stephanie, the girlfriend I share all of my birthday celebrations with, was going out to lunch with her aunt and invited me to come. It's been 80 degrees in SF all week and the restaurant is on the water, so I couldn't wait to sit outside and eat some fish. There is no better way to spend a sunny day in the city than eat fish by the water (and drink a margarita... later in the day). It looks like a typical harbor bar with a big wooden deck surrounded by a bunch of sailboats. It took me back to Dawson's Creek, a place I ALWAYS want to go back to.
Crab Louis Salad - What a treat to have fresh crab. I hadn't had crab since Christmas, so I could have just done with that without the rest of the salad. The dressing was creamy and pretty good, but I should have gotten plain cracked crab and tartar sauce.
Calamari - I tried a little bit of Aunt Carol's calamari and it was yummy, but mostly because of the tartar sauce. I'd like to get some bottles of their tartar sauce for home!
The food took almost an hour to come out. It's a popular lunch spot and it was a nice day so I was expecting a little bit of a wait, but not that long. Our waiter was very nice and offered to give us a free appetizer, but at that point we just wanted our food. Go to The Ramp for lunch if you are lucky enough to have long ones. :)
