One of Austin's mottos is, "Keep Austin weird," and this place exemplified that philosophy. It was a quirky restaurant on the lake in a row of other, even quirkier restaurants, with a big deck over the water, a huge bar and lots of fried-food-eating football fans. It would have been a super fun bar to Sunday Funday at... if we hadn't of Saturday Funday'ed.
Fried Pickles - FRICKLES!!! The ones I'd had before were in slices - those restaurants are doing it wrong. The fried spears were so juicy, steaming hot and as big as my forearm. Texas, you can fry anything to perfection.
Housemade Potato Chips: Tonssss of salt and oil.
Fish Sandwich: I liked all the ingredients except for the fish. Note to self - don't order fish when hung over.
