Perfect way to end a beautiful holiday weekend at the beach. It's a small inn and bigger restaurant, mostly of deck and dock seating. The dock is lit with little lights that create the cutest runway to gorgeous Lake Tahoe sunsets.
Duo of Ahi Tuna - One portion was thinly sliced with smoked sea salt, tangerine, cilantro and olive oil. The second part of the dish was a more traditional tuna tartare with cubes of fish, ginger, Sriracha, avocado, scallion and (the twist) crisp plantain.
Fried Asparagus & Squash Blossoms - Tempura battered and ricotta cheese filled with a tomato sauce.
Potato Crusted Alaskan Halibut - Pickled ramps, cauliflower, fava beans atop an asparagus puree. Splendid summer fish entree!
Strawberry Shortcake - My favorite part of the meal. Dense poppyseed biscuit, tangy strawberry-rhubard sauce and a sweet almond creme. I'll take one to go!
Beef Filet - Dan had this and has been talking about it for weeks. "It was perffffect." Man's gotta have his meat.
